JD Builders (John) was the fifth builder that provided us with an estimate. There were a number of things that set John apart from the others. He listened to what we had to say, always answered his phone, and did a good job of explaining what our different build options were. The build contract was simple, easy to understand, and did not contain any threatening language.

We are very pleased with our pole barn build by JD Builders. JD Builders handled every aspect of the project, which included: obtaining permits and city inspections, arranging sub-contractors for additional work and ensuring that the barn was built to our particular specifications. The barn is very well built, and we are also pleased with the quality of work done by the subcontractors.

In 2019 I hired JD Builders to put an addition on my house which added some square footage to the first floor and a second story over that addition and above an old porch that had a leaky flat roof along with insulation and new siding on the entire house. The addition on the upstairs space added to my original small bathroom and made a tiny room upstairs into an actual bedroom. As they progressed with the addition, I asked questions and made some changes and John was always helpful, always answering my questions and some of the changes they made and some they explained why we couldn't or made suggestions on how it could be done differently. When the work was completed, I was extremely happy with the work and how things turned out. I would work with John and his crew again anytime and would recommend them to anyone who needs work done.

JD Builders built my deck last summer (2021) and I am so happy with the way it turned out. When John and the guys arrived, I made a couple of changes which they took in stride and the guys went to work. I made a couple more changes as they progressed and when the deck was done it was fabulous. I love spending time on my new deck and would recommend JD Builders to anyone who asks. John Hershberger, also known as JD Builders, has been our home contractor since 2008. During that time he has repaired our roof, replaced doors and windows and kept our home in good shape. His most important work for us was in 2017 when he worked with our architect to make our 65 year plus home barrier free and added a room for a caregiver or guest. His help made our home a Forever Home. His work was always excellent and priced fairly. In 2022, when a tree fell on our garage, John worked with our insurance adjuster and repaired the garage completely. He is pleasant to work with and listens, giving beneficial hints for improvements.
